What can I put in to the skip?
General waste and rubbish including the following:
- Household clearance
- Household renovations and refurbishments
- Garage clear-outs
- Garden waste, maintenance and clearance
- Paints and Solvents
- Liquids and Oils
- Tube and Strip light-bulbs
- Food Waste
- Animal and Pet Waste
- Gas Bottles
- Fridges and Freezers
If you have any prohibited items that we cannot accept, you can contact your local council who will advise you on the correct way to dispose of the waste.
No fires to be lit in the skip.
What is a level load?
What if I need a skip permit?
If your skip is going on a public road or verge, then you will require a skip permit from the Council SKIPS4U will arrange this for you. A skip permit is £45.00 from Southend Borough Council and takes 10 working days. Essex County Council is £20.00 for 7 working days and £30.00 for 14 days, and takes 7 days to arrange.
A skip permit can take 5 working days to arrange.
How long can I have the skip for?
The hire of our skips is for up to two weeks. If you require longer than one week please contact the office.
Do you offer a Wait and Load Service?
Yes we do. We will deliver the skip and wait for you to load it. Please contact the office for further details of this service.
How can I pay for the skip hire?
We accept all credit/debit cards through our secure server. You can also pay by cash on delivery or over the telephone.

We deliver skips to Southend-on-Sea, Chalkwell, Westcliff-on-Sea, Great Wakering, Shoeburyness, Thorpe Bay, Leigh-on-Sea, Rochford, Hockley, Hawkwell, Ashingdon, Barling, Hadleigh, Benfleet, Thundersley, Rayleigh, Canvey Island and other surrounding areas.
